Randoms about me

I really don't have much to talk about this week...I apologize. So, I found questions on another blog that I am going to answer on here. Here we go!

1. What talent do you wish you had?
I wish that I could either read minds or be extremely lucky in everything I do (like winning the lottery...haha!) No but on a serious note, wish I could be more creative!

2. If I bought you a drink what would it be?
Non-alcoholic: Iced Tea    Alcoholic:MGD 64 or Captain and Sprite

3. Favorite veggie?
Carrots or peas

4. Last book you read?
Well I listen to books on tape at work (I know tough job, right?) so I have listened to a lot lately, but the last one I actually read was by Charlaine Harris titled Dead Reckoning. It is the Sookie Stackhouse series...Andrew and I started watching True Blood so, of course, I had to read the books!

5. Favorite sport?
I don't play sports...haha! Feel like that is a joke; however, my favorite sport to watch is football. 49ers!

6. Favorite place to hang out?
My hometown with my family and friends.

7. Biggest pet peeve?
Oh my goodness...after being married and living together for a while I feel like I could go on and on about this. BUT...my biggest pet peeve would be when Andrew is in one room and I am in another and then he yells something and I say "can't hear you!" Yet, he still continues to talk. Then later he says you never listen to me....REALLY!! hahaha! This happened with me and my sister too when we both lived in the same house. So annoying!

8. Favorite/Least favorite food?
So, I love food. This topic is really never ending. My all time favorite food is my grandma's red velvet cake. To Die For! My least favorite food is pretty much anything seafood.

9. Favorite show?
This is also a never ending topic. I have several shows. Some of them are: Khloe and Lamar, Real Housewives of OC, The Office, 30 Rock, Giuliana and Bill, and my absolute favorite is Bethenny Ever After! Love her!

10. Where will you be/what will you be doing in 5 years?
I will be back in Red Bud starting a family with my amazing husband.

If anyone feels like it, you are more than welcome to answer these questions! I would love to hear your answers as well! Have a wonderful week.  -Jen

Lazy Saturday...

Today has been a wonderful day. I really haven't done much and it has been so nice. I started my day by cleaning the apartment...it really needed it. Then I decided to go shopping for groceries/house stuff...but...somehow I ended up at Marshall's. I really don't know how this happens! Also, why is it that when you really aren't looking for anything to buy you always find something; however, when you are looking for something...you seem to never find it or get exactly what you want.

When I stepped into Marshall's I was going to look for stuff for the apartment but I also ended up looking at the shoes and I am so glad I did. I have been looking for some nude pumps that aren't to terribly high and I found them...for $24. Whoo hoo!
They aren't exactly what I wanted but they will do for now. Just glad I finally have some. Then I somehow found myself in the clothes section and found an adorable maxi dress for super cheap. All in all, great shopping day for me.

When I completed all my shopping I came back and worked on bridal shower stuff for my sisters wedding. So excited about this! While I was working on bridal shower stuff I was also on Pinterest; of course, I am addicted to this website. Here are some great things I found on Pinterest today:
Totally love this spoon! I am going to get it for Andrew because he "literally" eats a crap ton of cereal.

This purse is just a dream of mine. I can dream! Love this.

I have made these and they are so good. Has anyone tried some recipes from Pinterest and loved them? If so, what are they?

Lately, I have been "obsessed" with organizing my home better and I came across this picture on Pinterest so I have decided to make my pantry look like this...eventually. I did some work on the panty today but there is still more to be done. I really want to be more organized in life...I love it. When I get it finished I will post my before and after pictures.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Easter Weekend

Hope everyone had a great Easter! It was so nice being home and around family...I love those moments. Our Easter went great! We started our weekend off with a Good Friday Fish Fry where Andrew's side of the family gets together and we make a whole bunch of fish, food, and drink beer. It was a good time and the weather was excellent. Then on Saturday we had the Hollmann (Step-dad's side) Easter at my parents house. It was so much fun! My mom made some amazing food, then the younger kids had an Easter egg hunt, and my step-dad even included us older kids by having a free throw contest for lottery tickets. Not to brag on myself...umm....but I won! No big deal. 4 lottery tickets people!! Haha! However, I only ended up winning $4. Oh well...it was a fun little thing to do with the older cousins!

 Easter Egg Hunt time!

The men discussing the free throw contest!

Sunday was a fast paced day but I loved every minute of it because it meant Church and then time with family. Started off Sunday with Sunrise service and then we headed to Andrew's aunt and uncles house for brunch. It was delicious! After brunch, was lunch with my mom's side of the family so off to Steeleville we went. Again we had some great food and every year we do an Cousins and Adults Easter egg hunt. What a blast!! After the intense Easter egg hunt we headed off to my dad's side of the family gathering in Percy. For the third time, tons of food but I am not complaining. We ate again and then had yet another Easter Egg hunt except this time it was only for the kids. Soon after that Andrew and I had to leave for Springfield but it was so great seeing family again. I love the holidays!

 After church!

Some of my favorite things...

So since I have started blogging I have also enjoyed reading several other blogs. There are so many great blogs out there...I just can't get enough. I hope to one day have a better blog like the ones I have read. I love them!

My favorite blog right now is iheart organizing. I strive to have a more organized life and this blog has already helped me along the way. I have completed a few organization projects and I want to do some more. It is addicting! Jen on iheart organizing is just amazing and her blog has so many tips and great ideas on how to organize well.

I plan on blogging more about blogs, people, things, and whatever else comes to mind that I love. Have a great week everyone!

Long time...no post!

Hello Everyone! I have been way far behind on posting something on here mainly because I have been super busy and also because I have been lazy. hehe! Anywho, thought I would tell you what I have been up to lately. I recently went to Memphis to surprise one of my bf's for her birthday. It was awesome!! Cooper's birthday was on Thursday so I got to Memphis around 3 and then we all met at a restaurant and surprised her. She had no idea and it was awesome. After we finished eating we went to Beale Street and sang at a karaoke bar there. Loved it. The rest of the evening was so much fun and I was so glad that I got to enjoy it was my besties! Friday we rested up because on Saturday was the big St. Patty's Day Party. We went all out. We made food, put up decorations, and even wore tutus! It was such a good time! Love my friends and cannot wait till I get to see them again!

Pinterest Projects!

So I know many of you enjoy Pinning....well, I am kind of obsessed! I started with Pinterest before many even knew about it and I haven't stopped since. I love that website and I wish I would of thought of it. I thought I would go ahead and tell you about some of MY Pinterest projects.

The first one is my LOVE sign.
The canvas cost about $5 at Hobby Lobbby, the letters were $0.99 each, the two colors of paint cost about $1.00 each. So altogether it cost about $11 to make this (it was actually a little less than that because I had a Hobby Lobby coupon). Ideally, I would have it on a colored wall but since we live in an apartment we can't color the walls.

Next, little project was my "I love you because..." sign.

I bought the frame at Hobby Lobby, I already had the scrapbook paper, and I made the bow from old ribbons I had. I started with printing the "i love you because..." on scrapbook paper then I placed it in the frame. Don't ask me how I made the bow because it turned out pretty bad. Plan on redoing it whenever I get the chance. Then I bought dry-erase markers to leave notes for one another on the frame. I will have to say, at first, Andrew was hesitant but he has written a few things on there and now I do think he likes it. It is something different to spruce up the apartment a bit. Love it!

Another idea I got from Pinterest was to place all of my bracelets around an old hairspray can. It works great! You are supposed to color/paint the can; however, I haven't found the time to do that yet so it works for now. :)
Lastly, another great idea I got from Pinterest was to place all of my make-up brushes in a small container with coffee beans in it. I love, love, love this. Not only is it convenient because all of my brushes are in one spot but they also smell AMAZING. I love the smell of coffee! Easy and efficient project.
That is all of my projects for now but I am sure there will be more to come. Sorry for the bad pictures...I need to get better at that to. I haven't figured out placement and lighting yet. If you want to see more of my Pinterest interest then follow me on Pinterest, just search Jen Langrehr!

Superbowl Weekend!

Even though our San Francisco 49ers didn't make it to the Superbowl we still had to celebrate! So, we headed to Indy to visit Adam and Lisa. It was an awesome time. We arrived at their apartment late Friday night so we settled in and then just visited the rest of the night.

Saturday we slept in...which was glorious...then we ate lunch at the "Spicy Pickle." It was a cute little restaurant in Lafayette, Indiana that had great salads, sandwiches, and pizza. When we finished our lunch Adam and Lisa gave us a tour of the Purdue campus...so nice! Then we went to this adorable coffee shop (where they had their first date) and got a few coffees and talked about life! haha!

Later that evening we went to Barnes and Noble (our husbands wanted to go...such nerds...but we love them). Then when we finished at Barnes and Noble we ate at this awesome Irish Pub called Nine Irish Brothers. The food was so good! We weren't crazy party animals that night but it was nice to come back to their apartment and just rest.

The next day was the SUPERBOWL so around 2 Lisa started preparing the amazing food for the party. Everything was so good. We had hot chicken wing dip, taco dip, deer sausage and cheese, veggies, and beer dip. Yummy! Plus, the taco dip and hot chicken wing dip were healthy versions of the original dips. Loved it! Sad to say, we left as soon as the Superbowl was over and headed back to Springfield. It was a great weekend and we had such an awesome time. Thanks again Adam and Lisa!
