Games, Parties, and Decor

Hello Lovelies!!!

Since I haven't blogged in a while...blame my studying....it is consuming all of my time, I figured I would show you some pictures of what my lift has consisted of lately.

Love me some Instagram. You can follow me at jmlangrehr. Hola!

Friday nights game! So sad we lost.
Alli came home for the game. Missed her!
All the pics of us were blurry...stupid iphone....or maybe it is the operator. :)
Right before Lara got into trouble...haha!
Cop told her she couldn't stand on the chair. She laughed in his face. What now?!?!
Our lawyer was there to tell the cop what was up.
Max's Birthday Party! It was so cute.
The cake pops were AMAZEBALLS! In case you couldn't tell, Lara did a monster theme....Max's Monster Mash....get it?! She is so clever.
My outside Halloween decor. I know it is kind of pathetic but I haven't had anytime to decorate. I couldn't even go to the Pumpkin Patch so my mom and sister picked up a pumpkin for me.

This next week, I will not be blogging at all since my test is coming up and I need all the time I can get. I will be back soon!

Weekend Update

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone had an awesome weekend.
Why are they never long enough?!?
Here is what my weekend consisted of:
Friday: I studied all day until about 5 and then the hubs and I headed over to my mom's house for supper. It was delicious!! We had Pasta con Broccoli with hot rolls and a salad. YUM-O!!! Emily and Nick came home to, which was great, and Emily had made a pumpkin dessert from the night before which was the BOMB!! The dessert did not disappoint.

Click on the picture above for the recipe. Soooooooo good!
**Also note that my sis mixed yellow cake mix with pumpkin filing instead of just the devil's food cake but this is the closest recipe that I could find.

When we got home from my mom and dad's, Andrew decided to go uptown to my mother's workout place and run on the treadmill while I decided to stay home and watch a movie....this sentence in general just makes me laugh. Yes, I know....pretty pathetic. I totally should have worked out because the movie was HORRIBLE!! I watched "The Cabin in the Woods" and it was awful. Take my word for it and do not rent it!

Saturday: Andrew and I worked on the next room in the house and got everything taped off and torn down so that it would be ready to paint. After we finished with the room, Andrew worked on the attic some more while I studied and then around 3:30 we left for Dane and Haley's wedding at the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, IL.

The wedding was beautiful and they had such wonderful weather for it. It was an outdoor wedding at 4 with the reception immediately following. The decorations were gorgeous and the food was excellent. So much fun!

Sunday: Andrew and I went to early church and then headed to McDonald's for some breakfast. Not our usual first choice for breakfast but we needed some Monopoly pieces!! haha! Andrew is totally addicted to this. Needless to say though, we did not get the ones we needed. We will just have to keep trying. :)

We came home and then got ready to head to Chester for my Grandma's Birthday. It was a lot of fun and it was a perfect day for Chili and Hot Dogs! We returned home to a freshly painted bedroom (courtesy of our fabulous Aunt Sharon...thank you again) but I should have tested the color first because it turned out more blue then I expected. I was wanting more of a lighter, gray shade and I picked a darker, charcoal color. IDIOT! So, I felt horrible but I told Aunt Sharon that we are going to repaint it since it wasn't exactly the color I wanted (i know....i am picky). We are so thankful for your help though, Aunt Sharon!!!

Here are some of the gray's that I like and will try next:
   **granite dust

I am just really nervous about picking out a gray again because I do not want it to look blue or green or whatever....I would like it to look GRAY! :)

That is all.
Talk to you later lovelies!

Home Updates

Hello Lovelies! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It is going to be a pretty relaxing one for us so that makes me happy!

The hubby and I have been working on the house lately and this is what we have done so far:

1.  The spare bedroom-Andrew's Aunt Sharon painted the room (thanks!), Andrew's Uncle Roger put the crown molding up (thanks), and Andrew and his dad put up our new ceiling fans. So, needless to say, we haven't done a lot of it.....actually, correction....I haven't done a lot of it. Andrew has done so much and I am so thankful for him! All I really did was the touch-ups around the trim and what not. :)
view into hallway/dining room
view into the room-ignore the crap in the middle, next step is getting curtains

2. The attic- Last night Andrew tore all the old insulation out of the attic and this morning his dad and grandpa put in the new. I do not have a pic for this because come on.....who really wants to see the insides of an attic. You get the picture.

3. The front of the house and the lawn- A couple of weekends ago, Andrew's family came over and tilled up the yard then planted new grass and let me tell you it looks AWESOME! Not to brag, but we pretty much have the best yard in the neighborhood. No but really, people keep telling us how they love our yard! It is pretty much the bomb. :)

Andrew and I also painted the front of the house and got shutters to match. Next, we plan on getting rid of that rock and some of the bushes...oh and buying a new front door!

working in the attic

We have lots more to do but it is coming along! I will keep you all updated! Thanks for stopping by!

AHHHMAZING WEDDING WEEKEND!

This past weekend was so much fun and I am so incredibly happy for my sister, Emily and her hubby Nick! Everything was perfect and the two looked so happy together!

Here is a little recap of the wedding festivities:

Wednesday: Got to go with Emily to pick up her wedding dress and do some last minute shopping.

Thursday: Decorated the hall and caught up with family and friends.

Friday: Got our nails done at American Nails in Waterloo and enjoyed some Mimosa's. Nice relaxing time with family and friends. Then we headed to Country Kitchen for some lunch.

***Side note: After lunch, I came home and decided to take a nap because I had a slight headache....bad idea. Woke up feeling extremely sick and had the rehearsal dinner in only a few hours. I think I got some kind of bug because I was sick throughout the entire rehearsal dinner and even the next morning. So needless to say, I felt terrible because I had to leave the rehearsal dinner early and I felt like I was taking the attention away from Emily and Nick. I love them so much and would never want to do that! So, the next day my mom called Dr. Birner and got some medicine for me and I felt better in no time. Thank you Dr. Birner!

Saturday: Wedding DAY!!! It was so much fun! We got to the church around 7:30am and immediately started on hair and makeup. We had the ladies from J & L salon in Sparta, IL do our hair and Casey Biancur from Blush Beauty Team did our makeup. It was so nice to spend time with everyone and just relax. Soon it was 11:30 and we had to start getting pictures taken. We got some pics in before the wedding and finished the rest afterwards. Then it was 2pm and time for Emily to walk down the isle. SHE WAS GORGEOUS!!! I mean, of course, I am partial cause she is my sister but DANG!! She looked so pretty!

After the ceremony, we took some more pictures at the church and then headed to the square in Red Bud to take a few pics. We only had time for a few then we headed to the Grohmann land for some "woodsy" pics. I cannot wait to see them all! The photographer was excellent and so incredibly nice!

At 6pm we arrived at the Hecker dome and continued the celebration. I wasn't to nervous about my speech until I started it but it turned out great and I was glad to be done with it. Next, Alex gave his speech and it was HILARIOUS! So good. He had everyone laughing. Then we started in on the meal which, of course, was delicious! Hecker knows how to do it right. The dancing began after that and did not stop till midnight. It was such a beautiful day and so perfect for Emily and Nick! Thank you both so much for letting me be a part of it. I love you both so much!

Sunday: We all got together again at my parents house and watched Emily and Nick open gifts and enjoyed some leftover food. Still delicious the second day!

It was an amazing wedding weekend and I loved every (almost) every second of it (not the sick part). Thanks so much to family and friends for making this day possible. Love you Emily and Nick! Now enjoy your honeymoon!!!

Here are some pics (more will be on facebook soon):
